Dream Home Delivered: The Smith Family’s Experience with Jeff Lindsey Communities
The Smith family recently celebrated a major milestone by closing on their new home built by Jeff Lindsey Communities in Senoia, Georgia. We are thrilled to share their journey from initial design to final build, revealing their experiences and satisfaction with the entire process. From selecting the perfect floor plan with their agent to customizing features in our Design Studio, the Smith family’s story is a testament to the dedication and expertise that define our homebuilding process.
Beginning the process toward a new home can definitely be a daunting task. We understand that this is a huge commitment and requires trust to allow a company to build your dream home. The Smith family chose Jeff Lindsey Communities to take on this task and turn their vision into reality. When we spoke with Carolyn Smith, we were excited to learn what features were on her family’s list of must-haves. She and her husband were looking for, “an open floor concept, a big kitchen [because they] cook all the time,” and the space to live functionally with their two kids.
Our Jordan floor plan attracted the Smiths’ to meet their current and future needs. As one of our larger floor plans, the Jordan offers five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and a basement. Carolyn mentioned, “Weighing all of the things that help make our lives easier for the way that we live and the way that we function…” this plan just made the most sense.
Carolyn talked about different aspects of their lifestyle that influenced their decision to build the Jordan. “We home school our kids, so we needed a place away from the living room [to spread out]. My husband also works from home, so he needed an office. I help with one of his businesses and needed an office space myself. [Additionally], our kids are getting older and they need their own space and their own bathroom. When we sat down and asked ‘what are we looking for’, Jeff Lindsey Communities ticked every box.”
When asked what their favorite room in their new home is, Carolyn said “we are most looking forward to the heart of the home–the living room and kitchen area. We want to be able to have family time while we are cooking dinner and spend time together after dinner.” The spacious concept of their home offers a place to be connected as a family and is perfect for modern living.

We are very happy with how the house looks and we’re so excited to move in!”
